A few times in my life I’ve had moments of absolute clarity, when for a few brief seconds the silence drowns out the noise and I can feel rather than think, and things seem so sharp and the world seems so fresh.

We are Golden…

The Golden Globes aired tonight, thus kicking off my favorite part of the year: Award Season. There is something so glamorousand dramatic about award shows… The intoxicating aura of pure talent interweaves beautifully with high fashion, creating a magic that can’t be rivaled. This year’s Golden Globes bordered on perfection… There were so many moments where I actually found myself applauding with the audience and tearing up with the honored recipients. Chris Colfer’s win was one of my favorite wins of all time… You could tell that it meant the absolute world to him; he was in a state of pure happiness that is rarely captured on camera. Also, the support from his cast was phenomenal… I seriously teared up when Diana Argon attacked him with a kiss and Lea Michelle cried for him. Then there was Natalie Portman’swin… I can’t think of a more deserving actress. She is absolutely sensational, not to mention the epitome of grace and elegance. I was equally happy that Colin Firth won for his portrayal in the King’s Speech… He is one of those actors that I continues to get better as his career progresses; he was excellent. Finally, I was inexplicably happy to that The Social Network got so much recognition, including the ultimate honor of winning best picture. That was such an amazing picture in every aspect, from the writing, to the directing, to the acting. I seriously can’t get over it… Oh, and Andrew Garfield > Everything. Next stop, the Oscars.

This movie was absolutely beautiful, I really can’t get over it. It was simplistically perfect and I can’t shake the thought of it from my mind… And from every single shot, you can see that is was written, produced and directed by a designer…
